This is an advice and information document issued by the Department for Education. The advice is to help all schools (including academies and free schools) understand some of the key principles and their obligations and duties in relation to the Data Protection Act 1998.

Recording sensitive data electronically and storing it in the cloud is something schools, academies and local authorities do day-to-day.
